Canne de combat
Canne de Combat is French combat sport related to Savate, practiced by the bourgeoisie in the 19th century as a show or to defend themselves. Participants wear protective equipment, since Canne de Combat involves rotating a stick to achieve a high speed at the point of impact on the opponent. Strikes on the opponent must be delivered one after another in a number of combinations and must come from the right as well as the left. This is a very rapid and complete sport since the entire body participates in the action.
